Our Story

As an Australian family business, our hands-on involvement ensures that our sustainability, quality, and community values are at the heart of everything we do.

At Inglewood Organic, farming is more than just a job—it’s a way of life. The story of Inglewood Organic is one of family, vision, and dedication. When the Youngberry family purchased Inglewood Farms in November 2013, they took on a challenge: to breathe new life into a struggling business and transform it into Australia’s leading producer of certified organic poultry. Driven by a passion for ethical farming and a commitment to community, their vision has since shaped the farm into a thriving, sustainable enterprise.

When the Youngberry family first acquired the farm, it was in financial turmoil and needed a fresh direction. But instead of seeing it as a setback, they saw an opportunity. They embraced the challenge and set out to restore the farm to its roots. With their family-run model, they made quick and effective decisions, ensuring that the farm was driven by a clear vision. Their slogan, “Return to Good,” became their guiding principle as they worked tirelessly to restore financial stability, provide jobs for the local community, and provide customers with authentic organic products.

Within six months, Inglewood Organic turned a profit, thanks to the hard work and dedication of the family and their committed team. This success marked the beginning of a new chapter, one that remains focused on high-quality, sustainable, and ethical farming.

THE FAMILY BEHIND INGLEWOOD ORGANIC

The Youngberry family has been farming for six generations. This long history ensures that the farm’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and community will continue for many more generations. It’s not just about raising chickens. It’s about caring for the land, supporting the local community, and inspiring a new generation of ethical farmers. At Inglewood Organic, we are proud that our farm reflects the values passed down through generations.

Today, Inglewood Organic is led by a passionate family team that spans three generations. The leadership team includes Andrew and Jennifer Youngberry, their daughter Katrina Hobbs, and her husband Adrian Hobbs. Together, they bring fresh energy, innovation, and years of farming experience to the business. Their leadership helps keep the farm grounded in its founding values while also embracing new opportunities for growth.

Andrew and Jennifer provide valuable wisdom and guidance, using their years of farming experience and their commitment to ethical, sustainable practices. Katrina, as managing director, brings a clear focus and strong leadership to make sure the business runs smoothly and stays true to its mission. Adrian uses his technical expertise and innovative ideas to improve the farm’s operations, sustainability, and animal welfare.

Along with the core leadership team, Inglewood Organic is proud to have 11 family members working together in the business. Each one brings their own skills and perspectives to different roles. This multi-generational involvement ensures the Youngberry family’s values continue to shape the farm while bringing new ideas and approaches to every part of the operation.
